This photo was obviously taken tomorrow.
TODAY, was Uncle Joey's birthday. We spent the morning taking Little P to experience "Gravity" in 3D IMAX. One of Little P's favorite websites is IMDB. Weird, right? Anyways, he had seen clips for the movie months ago and was really looking forward to it. Being the cinephiles that we are, Uncle Joey and I wanted Little P to see it. It's the first movie he ever wanted too see that wasn't based on a comic book, cartoon, breakfast cereal, or had a Happy Meal tie-in. Uncle Joey and I wanted to see it, so what's the worst that could happen? The answers can be found under the parental advisory/content warning at imdb. Reading it, two bright red flags immediately went up. Being the concerned parent that I am (and not wanting to go back on my word (this time)) I gave Uncle Joey cash and told him to see the movie the night before so that he could "live edit" the movie for his nephew. I must say, he did a good job (covering eyes when appropriate) and feigning a coughing fit through choice language. The movie however was very intense. At one point, I asked Little P if he was going to have any space nightmares tonight. Without looking at me, he quickly said no. Eyes still transfixed to the screen he easily rescinded his answer with, "maybe one or two." During another perilous sequence, he said, "This must be why you only let me see five PG-13 movies a year."
