Day 11

Vegged all day at  home.

Day 12

Lunched at Panera. Swam with the Davidsons. Hang out at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Went home, ate Dinner, waited for the missus to arrive.

Day 10

Last Day at UNIVERSAL! The boys and I hit Spider-man (improved and in HD!), Little P rode Dr. Doom’s FearFall by himself. We all rode the Storm Accelerator thingies. Little P rode Ripsaw Falls by himself and then in a shocking turn of events, we ALL rode it together.

Gassed up (7-11 Slurpies) ate Chick-fil-a (again) and hit the rode. Reached Tallahassee in record time. Hit the Cat and headed home.

Day 9

The boys and I rode Jurassic Park, the Pteradon Fliers. Little P rode the Dragon Challenge by himself. The three of us rode One Fish, Two Fish. Left the park. Had McDonald’s near the hotel. Walked around the hotel/adjoining conventionscenters for an hour/two and swam in the pool, waiting for the Missus’ workshop to end. Went back the Islands of Adventure with her  and the boys. The Missus and Little P rode the Hulk Roller Coaster while Big D and myself did the Storm Accelerator thingies. Followed that up with a family trip on Bluto’s Barge (we ALL got soaked and I think that’s where I lost my sunglasses.) we ate kebobs in the park for dinner. Little P and I ended the night waiting for Big D and the Missus to finish riding of The Cat in the Hat.

Day 8

Just me and the boys. This morning, we met up with Grannie and Poppi one last time for breakfast (the super McDonald’s on International Drive) We got to the park a little later than I wanted. We waited in line to Ride Transformers, the Simpsons, and wandered over to Islands of Adventure. We walked around the entire park dripping sweat. We didin’t see a single ride with a less-than-thirty-minute wait time. Eventually the High in the Sky ride in Suess Land had a twenty minute wait. We left the park hot and miserable. Chilled at the Hotel until the missus was done with her workshop. Had Friendlies for dinner.

Day 7

Ate breakfast in the hotel. Went to the park again to meet up with Uncle Jimmy, Grannie, and Poppi.  Since they’re not waiting for us yet, Little P and myself ride the new Rip Rock-it Roller Coaster. Everybody rides Dispicable Me. Everybody “rides” Twister. Uncle Jimmy, the Missus, Little P and myself all ride the Mummy’s Revenge. Everybody rides Disaster (little P is chosen for the kid part). Little P, Big D, the Missus, Poppi and myself ride MIB.

We all leave the park at eat lunch at BK. Everybody is slowly dying.

After lunch, EVERYBODY goes to the Terminator 3D, E.T., Curious George. Little P, Big D, the Missus, Poppi and myself ride Woody Woodpecker. Poppi, Little P and myself end the day rider the Mummy’s Revenge as single riders while Uncle Jimmy, the Missus, Big D and Grannie watch Little P’s instant classic video of him riding the Rip Rock-it Roller Coaster.

We end the night back at the Hotel: Pool and Pizza.

Day 6

Woke up late. Left the house late. Little P spilled a chocolate milkshake all over the computer desk/chair in our bedroom. Headed to Orlando to see the Missus and visit Universal Studios.

12:00 lunch at Chick-fil-a in Lake City (Super busy!)

Get  to Orlando (the Missus HATES my five-day “beard”)

Meet up with Grannie and Poppie and swim in the hotels’ pool before dinner (Golden Corral)

Head back to hotel and in the parking garage, decide to take the boys to Islands of Adventure (7:00pm) Park closes at 9:00.  Without long waits, Little P and I ride the Hulk, Little P and the Missus ride Harry Potter while Big D and myself ride the Hippogriff. We end the night by having a family ride of The Cat in the Hat.

7:30-8:30 Boys wake up, get dressed, watch t.v. and drink smoothies for breakfast

8:30-12:30 Boys attend summercamp

1:30-2:30 Hang out/ ride bikes at grandma and grandpas house

3:00-4:00 Library

4:00-5:30 Dinner at home

6:00-7:45 Running at McClay

8:30-11:00 Owen spends the night. Watch Episode III with little break at nine for a firefly hunt (don’t catch any)

12:30-1:15 Boys and I eat at Dog Et Al (run into Little P’s preschool teacher, Mrs. Helen. Touching reunion. She recognized Little P immediately. Posted picture on facebook for the Missus to see.)

1:15-1:30 Cosmic Cat

1:30-4:30 Jack McClean pool with the Wolhrab-Davidsons

5:00-6:30 dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

6:30-7:00 run into Publix for bananas, ice cream, milk, and orange juice for breakfast smoothies/milkshakes

7:00-9:00 Family screen time, story time, bed time

I ate Subway in the mall

12:30-1:30 The boys wanted McDonald’s

2:00-3:00 Big D decided to ride a bike for the first time on Father’s Day. He’s wanted to do it everyday since. Ride bikes at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

3:00-5:00 VERY impressed by the boys entertaining themselves outside for TWO hours while I cut the grass.

5:00-6:00 dinner (your choice of Totino’s Pizzas, Mac and Cheese, or Ramen Noodles)

6:00-8:30 Family screen time, story time, bed time

Day 1:

7:30-8:30 Boys wake up, get dressed, watch t.v. and drink smoothies for breakfast

8:30-12:30 Boys attend summercamp

12:30-2:00 Lunch with Chuck at Peppers (slow service, but I’m not complaining)

2:00-2:30 Little P spends thirty minutes of screen time in the house

2:00-3:30 Big D and I spend time outside riding bikes at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Little P joins us outside at 2:30.

3:30-4:30 Boys play with cars inside/outside

3:30-4:00 Little P logs in thirty more minutes of screen time

4:00-4:30 Little P knows that he has to read. He spends this thirty minutes complaining

4:30-5:00 Little P finally reads “Big Nate” and answers five questions in the time it took for him to complain. Big D gets in thirty minutes of screen time.

5:00-6:00 Dinner and screen time

6:00-7:00 running around the house naked and yelling during alternate baths. This house is crazy!

7:00-8:00 Family screen time.

8:00-8:30 story time/bed

The missus is going out of town for a training today. I’ll be home alone with the boy playing Mr. Mom…FOR TWO WEEKS. I got this. This is my chance to break old habits and start fresh. I’ll keep you posted with how I do.
